Privacy and Cookie Policy For the EU Even Though I Do Not Freaking Live There
Here at NormalNess, I don’t know what else I’d do with your data apart from email you. I’m not going to sell (or trade or in any other way disseminate) it, because that seems like a great way to lose all my friends for like two lousy bucks. This privacy policy contains lots of juicy* (*juice not guaranteed) information about your private bits.
I’m really not all that into Cookies. Some software on this website probably collects information automatically about browsing and other on site behaviours.
Some third party services, including Google Analytics and Jetpack by WordPress, will collect standard internet data about browsing habits. This includes things like what pages you have visited and how long you have stayed on the site. This data is anonymised to the best of my knowledge by these third party services.
As you have probably realised if you have received a newsletter from me, I have a newsletter. I know! To quote Phoebe (aka Princess Consuela Bananahammock) on Friends, “THAT IS BRAND NEW INFOMRATION!”
Basically this means that I will use the information collected (primarily your email address) to do things such as email you. If you’re on my blogging newsletter then you will primarily receive information about blogging. If you’re on my everything else newsletter then you get content in line with the rest of my blog, which basically means whatever crap I’ve thought and written about recently. If you’re on both lists, then you get both.
I use a third party email provider for these newsletters. Mailerlite is kick ass and you can read their privacy notice too, if you really really want to.
There will always be an unsubscribe button or link or some such easily doable clickable, tappable, thingymabob in every email and regardless of the law’s opinion of this stuff, I think everyone has the right to a clutter free inbox, so please unsubscribe guilt-free if you ever get sick of hearing from me.
You have the right to access and amend any personal data that I hold of yours. I hope that’s the only highly personal thing I’m holding of yours because otherwise I think we are possibly a little too familiar with each other and breaking much more serious laws than privacy.
